How to protect hardwood floors from furniture?

I recently moved to a new apartment with hardwood floors. I’m concerned about damaging the floor and losing my deposit. What can I use? Also how can I make my bedframe (typical steel with wheels) not slip and resist movement since hardwood doesnt have that grip like carpet?

I just boughta house with hardwood floors & I read that shoes and dogs claws can mess up hardwood floors. I am going to require visitors to take off their shoes, but my dog is not that easy to solve. I get his nails clipped every 6 weeks when he gets groomed & I am gonna tr those dog bootie thingys, but I have a feeling he will pull them off! Please help if you can.

Can you put hardwood floors in a mobile home?

I am concerned about shifting and getting messed up especially around the center where the two halves meet or will it stay once it’s in. I know Lowe’s and Home Depot will not install in a mobile. I called one company a few weeks ago and they said they could install it, but when i asked if it could be through out without any problems they said they would call me back after they talked to their supervisor and i never heard back.
I am concerned with the shifting so much because we are near an airforce base and there are several sonic booms a day and it feels like small earthquakes. Also, as I said it will be THROUGHOUT, so yes, this will include the kitchen and bathrooms.

Value of installing hardwood floors in a brand new townhome?

Many references have said that hardwood floors undoubtedly increase the value of a home. How much incremental resale value would installing hardwood floor (versus a neutral patterned carpet) add to a brand new townhome within the next five years?
Can anyone give a specific numeric range of how much hardwood flooring has contributed to increase in property value? For example, is it in the range of $5000 or less, $15000 or less, etc…?

How can you stop squeaky hardwood floors?

When I moved into my apartment I had nice hardwood floors. Now after two years I have noticed that the areas where people walk have become squeaky and creaky, while untouched areas are still firm and quiet. Is there some polyurethane coating that may have worn off in the time since I moved in? Some other reason why these areas are squeaky?
