Is it possible to strip and wax hardwood floors?

Posted by admin
James L asked:

The house I am renting (I moved in back in September) had hardwood floors in the kitchen, dining room and one room which serves as an office. I moved a refigerator over the weekend and it appears I scratched the hardwood floor. Upon closer examination, I discovered that it wasn’t the floor I had scratched, but removed what appeared to be layers of buildup (not sure if it was wax, oil, or dirt) that had accumulated over the years.

How can I get the rest of it off?
